Dust settled around his sandled feet, the silence deafening after the cacophony of battle.

Sometimes we forget that, as men, the very thing we fight for is the very thing we neglect.
What separates the honorable from the predator is the fact that predators fight for domination and territory, to use your very flesh for their desires whilst the honorable fight for their families, for a good life so that their time on earth is fruitful.
You head out to work every morning, face battles everyday and return home too tired to remember what you were even fighting for.
Well warrior, let me enlighten you.
The most powerful and impressive thing a man can be, yes, the most fruitful and worthwhile task possible, is to be an amazing husband and father!
This is what you fight for every day is it not? To pay the bills for a home and luxuries for a family that you love with all your heart and to have your dreams come true.
It is so unfortunate that the battles we fight take so much of our attention that we begin to despise our families for getting in the way of those very battles.
The battles are the means to an end, but when the sweet taste of victory becomes the end in itself, you begin to neglect the true prize - A secure, happy wife and secure, mature, wise children!
Laugh at me now, but when you are alone one day, your material wealth meaningless to those who wanted your love, your shallow worthless scavenger friends all still leaching off your generosity, you will look back and realize the utter folly of your life.
Blame throw all you want, it won't fill the hole of emptiness your arrogance has created and your sons and daughters will consider it a chore to spend time with you!
Your family, your protege's... these are to be your life! There is no greater reward than playing a part in another humans happiness!
Seek your life all you want, you will lose it! Wisely give it to those who would benefit greatly from it... and you will reap such pleasure and honor that your greatest dreams would not even come close to it!
There is nothing so fulfilling as someone thanking you for the success of their lives and you bask in the warmth of their love and gratefulness for the rest of yours!
